First, let’s just start by saying that we highly value being authentic and “real” in our services. We probably err on the side of being too transparent
But that’s not a bad thing!
So the music and message are very down-to-earth but challenging at the same time. Our whole focus is to better understand and experience Jesus in community.
So here’s a quick breakdown of the nuts and bolts:
Beginning: The first thing you’ll experience is really good music. The service starts with a few songs. If you like drums, acoustic and electric guitars, and some keyboard sounds, you,ll really enjoy the music time – even if you don’t know the songs. The words are projected onto the wall in front of you so you can sing or follow along. Our “flavor” is contemporary, meaning a style you’d hear on the radio today. We also do some new arrangements to older hymns.
Middle: After the music, someone will usually share a couple of things that are happening in our community. We typically have a multimedia service, which helps if you’re a visual learner. Then there’s a message (sermon). The messages are relevant and easy to understand and usually end with an action step for the week. If you’re looking to get connected to God, understand the Bible, and be inspired and encouraged in your faith, you’ll love the messages.
End: Following the message, an offering is received that goes to local and global ministries. Usually, the band plays another song, there’s a closing prayer, and the service ends.
